Hi there. Introduce yourselves.
Aaron Wendt-guitar, lead vocal
Jesse Everhart-guitar
Sean McCall-drums
Dan Hargest-keys,guitar,backing vocals
Topher Bradshaw-bass
You guys have been playing in bands for years. What are some of the bands that you were in before TTP?
The New California, Stand To Reason, Pollen, Turbofuck, The Bionic Situp and Horace Pinker.
You've got a new CD out
and it's nice. Tell us about that.
We like it, we're proud of it, we hope you like it. We like to think that it serves as a nice introduction to Ticker Tape Parade.
Is it true that Jim Adkins (Jimmy Eat World) sang some backups? How did you work that?
Yes, he sang on the bridge and on the end of "Here It Comes." He is an old friend and was kind enough to lend his talents to our recording. He's a swell chap.
Any recording plans in the near future?
We're always recording demos of new songs. We have a little LE Pro Tools setup in our rehersal space. We have no immediate plans to record a full length, as TTP funds are a bit low, and touring is ultamately more important than recording a record. I mean, we've done the west coast a few times, but no one east of Santa Fe has even heard of us. It's all about spreading the word.
You've been playing a bunch of shows. Where's the next tour taking you?
East. We're doing 4 weeks with The Stereo starting around the 16th of
June.
I heard about a show you guys just played with Before Braille
where Dan sang for them. How did that go?
Great, Dan sings better than I do. He did a great job for them.
What are 5 records you guys listen to in the van when you're on
the road?
Har Mar Superstar, The Exit, Sparta, The Flaming Lips and Iron Maiden.
Thanks.
You are very welcome.
