12/08/2007

From: Hello Wendy PR

San Francisco-based quintet New Monsoon is gearing up for a winter tour that will take them from a two night stint in Austin - including New Years Eve - through the Rockies and the West Coast including a headline date in its hometown in early February at Bill Graham's legendary Fillmore.

Since its inception in 2001, the band has steadily grown its fan base with an active touring schedule highlighted by appearances at key festivals including Austin City Limits, High Sierra, Bonnaroo and Summerfest.

The band's newest release, New Monsoon V and was produced, mixed and engineered by John Cutler, best known for his production work with The Grateful Dead on the platinum release In the Dark (co-produced with Jerry Garcia) and Without a Net (co-produced with Phil Lesh) and the Jerry Garcia Band's How Sweet It Is.
