What makes Oka Road unique? Could it be their ingenious
endeavor to create a new genre of rock-n-roll? Is it their
vocalist who embraces an alternative styling combined with
acoustic guitar and percussion musings? Either way, Oka Road
is back in action with their sophomore release,Drive
Number.
Oka Road is expanding the music boundaries of the California
coast by providing an acoustic alternative rock sound with a
jazzy twist. Oka Road defines life's dilemmas, lessons and
dreams, and creatively places those raw emotions into their
music and lyrics. "The Dream" begins with a softly whispering
acoustic guitar followed by the gentle percussionist tapping
lightly on his cymbal and a clever voice of reason (lyrically
speaking) demonstrating belief in everyone who dreams.
"Clocktower" is also a slow, driven melody recounting the
essence of time and all the powers it holds.
Oka Road continues to deliver an impressive sound while
managing to stay focused and refusing to be typecast. |
