Sam Bush, mandolinist, songwriter and singer recently released King Of My World, a blend of bluegrass, jazz, folk, rock and reggae. New Grass Revival is the fusion of all these genres and Sam Bush is the reigning king. Peers like Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck and David Grisman say that Bush is responsible for this innovative breed of bluegrass calling it "Newgrass."

Sam Bush is acquiring a broad assortment of audiences from coast to coast by providing something new and different compared to other bluegrass musicians. The inordinate and modernized traditional music of King Of My World will open your eyes to a new sound and energy that is emerging as progressive bluegrass. The once closeted Bluegrass scene now has its door open.

Bush, along with the accompaniment of Brad Davis (guitar and vocals), Jon Randall Stewart (acoustic/electric guitar), Byron House (acoustic/electric/fretless bass and backup vocals), Chris Brown (drums), Reese Wynans (piano and organ) and Andrea Zonn (fiddle and backup vocals) illuminate this years-past dull genre of music. The mandolin prodigy shines with an impressive performance on "They're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone," by executing his talent in quickness, accuracy and flawless rhythms. Bluegrass traditionalists gear up to Bush's brilliance in songwriting, and it's easy to see why he's confident as a self-proclaimed King. His sovereignty is evident in "King Of the World," when he explains that sometimes you only need your own piece of mind to be King, even if it's only for just one moment.

Sam Bush plays the mandolin the way it was made to be played, perfect sound completing its style, hissing cadences and sharp beats. It's no wonder why many people want to claim residency in Bush's world.
