From the beginning to the end of Isle Of View's Gentle Firefly Radio, the band makes the listener feel how comfortable and eclectic a band's mind can work together and succeed. They missed the 80's hair band boat, but they seem to be making their own personal rock wave.
Isle Of View is Green Day meets Blink 182, fun to head bang or dance around to and splendid to sit down and listen to, while the rest of your body wants to move like a crazy snake.
Many of the songs are really artistically inventive. They have enough guitar and vocals to satisfy all rockers and closet rockers at heart. There is also enough emotion. The lead singer, Tim Tucker makes this come through in his voice. This is skillfully accompanied by the guitarists Jeremy Blount, Jon Reifler and Nik Tyler and drummer Steve Kuhn. The guitarists have the daunting task of synchronizing their beats, adding talent and making them their own. They have pulled it off and then some. Backed by the backbone of the band, the drummer paints with his drumsticks his own personal view of the songs.
I have the distinct impression that Isle Of View isn't kidding around. They want the fans, the money and the fame, and are willing to work extremely hard for it. If the album is as good as the live stage show, this is only the beginning of Isle Of View. They have shown this distinct fact through their talent and their love/hate inspired lyrics that doesn't have the "same song every time" syndrome, which unfortunately can grip certain artists that don't have an imagination.
There is an unspoken chemistry and intuition in the band. Their ducks may be in a row to keep going for many years to come. |
