Chiodos has mastered an album so incredible and inspiring that it has not left my car stereo since I received it for review. Their primary influences are listed as Saves The Day, Queen and At The Drive-In - a wide variety of styles, all of which can be found within their album: All Is Well That End's Well. Chiodos can be described as screamo, but they aren't the screamo that you are used to. They weren't produced in a cookie cutter, radio savvy fashion.

Basically, this album is mostly singing (as opposed to overdone screaming) with a lot of cue melodies and harmonics that are so insanely perfect you'll find yourself rewinding time and time and time again just to hear it again. If you're anything like me, the melodies, the breakdowns, the insanity of the guitar and the soothing aspects of the keyboard will have you ecstatic! The lyrics are sing-able and relatable. Even the artwork for this CD is amazing!

If you have never heard Chiodos before, the vocals are of the forced, high sound type. It's not exactly Coheed And Cambria type high, but high like the vocals of Saosin or Circa Survive. Still, there is no comparison. This album has masterful breakdowns, pop-like guitar riffs (or rather, moments), classic rock influences and even a hint of Hip Hop. You'll see what I mean and you'll love it. Although primarily a hardcore band, my personal favorite aspect of Chiodos is that you can sing along and dance the entire time. And, you will. I warn you though, you will play this album repeatedly until you find yourself sick of it - if possible.

With the rising popularity of the album, Chiodos has what seems to be a never-ending tour lined up. Make sure to check out their site and find them in the town nearest to you. If you think they are amazing on record, their performance will rip your face off! I mean that in a good way. On and off record, Chiodos has an amazing chemistry that's exactly not like anything else.
