There isn't much to say here, since this is just a maxi-single of
the song "Make Up Sex," including seven different remixes of
the track, which is a fun song, though not terribly
compelling.
In case you haven't looked around lately, you've noticed the
impact the 80's are having on modern radio, movies, and
fashion. This is not a completely bad thing, but it's always
annoying to see how fast these trends catch on and infiltrate
every aspect of our life. With that in mind, I was skeptical of
listening to a band that brags about being the opener for Duran
Duran.
But the song is what is, and it's not terrible. A fun dance-rock
number with a big snare drum and a chorus you can dance to.
Lead singer Tom Pederson's vocals sound like they're running
through the same vocal effect Madonna's been relying on
recently. Ultimately, though, the song is as difficult to take
seriously as the decade it is channeling. |
