This is a great pure rock record from Los Angeles' Chach.
The four tracks on this EP are groovin', slam-banging fun.
This is definitely a driving record, one made for summer
nights and the highway. The first cut, "From The Throne"
features a laid back vocal but a locked-in groove that should
have your bootie bouncing from the first few notes.
"Monte Carlo Blues" follows this up and after a second or two
you're looking around for an accelerator pedal to punch.
Guitar heavy and a soulful vocal power this sucker with a
hook that is undeniable. "Found That Love" is in the same
vein, just a little less urgent. "Hot Pocket" ends the record on
a high note as the band really kicks it into high gear for the
hard-charging chorus.
Chach includes vocalist Chad Roth, bassist Dawn Shoudt,
guitarist Mimi Soltyslk, guitarist Jimi Soltyslk and drummer
James Barker. This EP also includes a video for the song
"From The Throne" which is quite entertaining for the guys in
the audience. The only complain here is that it's not long
enough. This is a solid release that builds anticipation for a
full-length record. |
