Project X will hit you right between the eyes with a slam-dunk
punch. It you like hardcore punk, this is it. The first track,
"Straight Edge Revenge," expresses raw emotion and is an in
your face, won't back down performance. This song would be
perfect for the television show Homewrecker. The
lyrics are quite unique; "I'm as straight as the line that you
sniff up your nose, I'm hard as the booze that you swill down
your throat."
This is mosh pit mania at its best. This record is definitely a
hardcore classic. The second track, "Shutdown," calls it like it
is; "Cut out the rules, or call it quits, or you'll end up as lame
as the fucking Ritz." "Dance Floor Justice" is about a drunk
messing up everyone's good times in the mosh pit. "Cross Me"
is short, sweet and to the point. The guitar riffs throughout the
song are strong and have great tonality. These guys are like
their own army. The vocals come across as
Commando. This record is sure to incite a riot if
played live. "Where It Ends" is about cool times in the past,
drinking and smoking reefer, but this is "where it ends" ...great
lyrics; "So take your pipe and your fucking keg too... when you
need a friend, see if they come through. We used to be such
good friends, but now I guess this is where it ends... you say
I've changed, I guess I have, but for the better, where it
starts!"
These guys have great, straight to the point lyrics.
Unfortunately there are only five songs on this disc, but if you
like them, you'll be in repeat mode. |
