We Are The Fury is a daring band - courageous enough to
admit that some of their greatest influences are among The
Rolling Stones and The Beatles. Bold to claim such
outstanding influences, I would say that they live up to their
ideals as best possible.
We Are The Fury has released a five song EP, creatively
titled Infinite Jest. Each song is similar, and yet
you can hear their influences in each individual song - some
sound like modern-day Beatles rock and others sound more
like The Killers mixed in an indie-rock machine with My
Chemical Romance. To some, that may be a disgrace -
placing The Beatles in context with any modern day band.
However, let me remind you we are speaking of influences
here. No one is claiming to be, only aspiring to
seem.
In other words, We Are The Fury looks and sounds like a
band that should be playing the Enchantment Under The Sea
dance featured in Back to The Future,
just...louder. Still, whether you're a girl in a poodle skirt or a
girl in knee-length indie linen - you'll grab your favorite
dance partner and scoot, skat and mosh to your hearts
desire. |
