This album is the dream of every fan of older underground hardcore music from the 90s. A scene characterized by its intense music and nearly incomprehensible vocals. Hardcore at its apparent best, but I personally can't get into it.
There were a few songs I could identify with a bit more. Track two features the band Lights Out singing "Never Stop" and reminds me a bit of the punk scene of that era as well. Snake Eyes does a 30 or so second song featuring a cute emo scream at the beginning as well, although I would be shot if I ever called them emo I'm sure.
Many songs are short (30 seconds to a minute), which was part of the music at the time. There are a lot of political statements as well, which personally turns me off. You will like the album if you were into the scene at the time. However, if you don't like hardcore, you won't like it. |
