Darden Smith recently released his album, Circu, with a passionate performance at Nashville's 3rd And Lindsley, live with local independent radio station Lightening 100 broadcasting on location. It was a beautiful summer Sunday night and I decided to go hear Darden play, alone. I made a big mistake. In order to understand Darden's style, you must first imagine love and all that it encompasses. Darden lyrically explains the pleasure and pain of being in love while his fingers brilliantly wander down the neck of his nylon string guitar. With each word, each note, everything that spills off the tip of his lips is driving me insane.
